The information provided by Queensland Property Services Group (QPG) ("we," "us," or "our") on our website, in promotional materials, or during initial consultations is for general informational purposes only. While we strive to keep the information up to date and correct, we make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, about the completeness, accuracy, reliability, suitability, or availability with respect to the services or information provided.
2. Scope of Services and Licensing
Queensland Property Services Group (QPG) provides general property maintenance, repair, and handyman services. In accordance with Queensland laws and the Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC), our standard services do not include occupational regulated work (such as plumbing, gas fitting, or electrical wiring) or structural building work exceeding the value of $3,300 (including labor and materials), unless specifically stated and appropriately licensed or subcontracted to a qualified tradesperson.
3. Pre-Existing Conditions and Hidden Defects
Estimates and quotes are based on a visual inspection of the property. QPG assumes no responsibility or liability for pre-existing conditions, hidden defects, or underlying issues that are not reasonably visible prior to the commencement of work. This includes, but is not limited to, asbestos, structural rot, termite damage, hidden water damage, or faulty pre-existing wiring/plumbing. If such issues are discovered, work may be halted, and additional costs may apply to rectify the site safely.
4. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), Queensland Property Services Group (QPG) shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of or in any way connected with the use of our services, except where such liability cannot be lawfully excluded. Our liability for a breach of a statutory guarantee is limited to, at our discretion, the re-supply of the services or the cost of having the services re-supplied.
5. Third-Party Materials and Contractors
QPG takes no responsibility for the failure, malfunction, or warranty of materials, parts, or fixtures supplied directly by the customer. Furthermore, if third-party contractors are recommended or utilized on a site, QPG is not liable for their specific workmanship or conduct, as they operate under their own licensing and liability insurance.
6. Site Safety
While QPG adheres to standard occupational health and safety practices, the customer is ultimately responsible for ensuring the general safety of the premises prior to our arrival, including securing pets, children, and removing fragile or valuable items from the immediate work zone. QPG accepts no liability for accidental damage to items that were not reasonably removed or secured by the customer.
